THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
MINNESOTA...EAST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH
DAKOTA AND SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A BROAD AREA OF RAIN WILL BUILD NORTH TONIGHT...BUT WILL
TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIX OVER CENTRAL PARTS OF SOUTH DAKOTA TONIGHT.
THIS WINTRY MIX SHOULD BECOME MAINLY SNOW IN CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA
LATE TONIGHT WITH AN INCH OR SO ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE SOUTHWEST OF
A CHAMBERLAIN TO LAKE ANDES LINE BY SUNRISE MONDAY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THE RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO FREEZING RAIN..SLEET AND THEN SNOW
THROUGH MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. SOME POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS
ICING WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA AN
EXTREME EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA WITH AROUND TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH OF
ICE LIKELY. LIGHTER ICING IS EXPECTED WEST OF INTERSTATE 29 WHERE
THE ICING THREAT SHOULD BE CONFINED TO AN HOUR OR TWO. SNOWFALL
AMOUNTS WILL BE HEAVIEST IN SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA WHERE 5 TO
8 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE REMAINDER OF SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA
AND SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA CAN EXPECT ABOUT 2 TO 5 INCHES. NORTH TO
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 35 MPH MAY ALSO CREATE SOME BLOWING SNOW
IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF RAIN...SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN ON MONDAY AFTERNOON...THEN CHANGE TO SNOW LATE IN THE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY IN THE EVENING. ICING IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN
LIGHT AND SNOWFALL AMOUNTS SHOULD MAINLY BE ONE TO TWO
INCHES....THE LIGHTER AMOUNTS FROM SIOUX CITY TO STORM LAKE AND
THE HIGHER AMOUNTS FROM CANTON SOUTH DAKOTA TO JACKSON MINNESOTA.
