At 334 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Round Top, or 14 miles southeast of Giddings, moving northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Brenham, Shelby, Burton, Lake Somerville Dam, Carmine, and Quarry.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
