...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to
mid-line of lake....
Michigan City IN to New Buffalo MI...
New Buffalo MI to St Joseph MI...

At 427 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located over New Buffalo, or near Michigan City, moving northeast
at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, large hail, and possible
         waterspouts.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could
         result in structural damage.

Locations impacted include...
New Buffalo and Michigan City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for northwestern
Indiana...southwestern Michigan...and the adjacent waters of Lake
Michigan.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.
