...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following
  county, Floyd.

* WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 610 PM EDT, A trained spotter indicates a 50 to 60 yard
    section of Abbott Creek Road is under water with the deepest
    depth of 1 foot. Minor flooding is already occurring in
    Abbott Creek Road. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen
    along the headwaters of Abbott Creek.
  - Abbott Creek Road is the most likely place to experience
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Prestonsburg and Bonanza.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
