...FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of south central and
southeast Kentucky, including the following areas, in south central
Kentucky, Rockcastle. In southeast Kentucky, Clay, Jackson, Letcher
and Perry.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 800 AM EDT Thursday for
portions of east central, south central, and southeast Kentucky...

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EDT EARLY THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Kentucky,
  including the following counties, in south central Kentucky,
  Laurel, McCreary and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Harlan,
  Knox and Leslie.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 159 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms fell earlier. Some minor flooding is likely
    ongoing along streams in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3
    inches of rain have fallen since early Wednesday morning.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible tonight
    as additional showers and storms move into the area. This
    additional rain may result in additional or continued minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Williamsburg, Barbourville, Harlan, Pineville, Middlesboro,
    Whitley City, Loyall, Evarts, Wallins Creek, Trosper, Flat
    Lick, Himyar, Avis, Myrick, Old Flat Lick, Fourmile, Brush
    Creek, Ingram, Artemus and Baughman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
