NORTHEASTERN JERSEY COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
south central and southwestern Illinois.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN MACOUPIN COUNTY...

At 552 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Palmyra to near Shipman to near Brighton, moving
east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Carlinville, Staunton, Gillespie, Brighton, Mount Olive, Bunker Hill,
Benld, Shipman, Wilsonville, Sawyerville, Mount Clare, East
Gillespie, Eagarville, White City, Royal Lakes, Chesterfield,
Dorchester, Hornsby, Miles Station, and Pruett.

This also includes Beaver Dam State Park.

This includes Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 41 and 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
