...Flood Potential Outlook for quick rises, potential flooding along
streams and creeks, and ponding of low-lying areas and poorly
drained urban areas in Siskiyou County in California...

Multiple storm systems will move through southern Siskiyou County
Sunday night through Tuesday. These storms will bring a prolonged
period of moderate to heavy rainfall with amounts ranging from 2 to
5 inches. There is approximately a 50 percent chance of total
rainfall exceeding 5 inches from around Dunsmuir southward.
Preceding rainfall and already saturated soils will result in an
increased risk for excessive runoff and very swift flows on area
waterways. Ponding of water on roadways is likely at times along
with possible flooding of poorly drained areas.

A flood potential outlook is issued when there is the potential for
significant rises or flooding along rivers and streams.

The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertain. This product will
be updated as necessary. Watches and warnings may be issued by the
National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
