.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will move through the region during the
day today before moving out in the evening. Temperatures will be
above normal for much of the week, before turning cooler for the
weekend. Winds will begin to increase in strength today ahead of
an approaching system, with the strongest gusts expected in the
higher terrain of the southern appalachian Mountains. Winds will
begin to die down after sunset tonight.
