...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 8 PM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph with a
  1 foot chop expected at Flathead Lake. Stronger southwest to west
  winds 15 to 35 mph across the west side of the lake with a 1 to 2
  foot chop expected.

* WHERE...Flathead Lake.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 8 PM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...A cold front passage Sunday morning will usher in gusty
  southwest to west winds and create hazardous conditions for small
  craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a slight uptick in the winds,
  generally west-southwest 15 to 25 mph on the east side of the lake
  between 5 and 7 pm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft. Water temperatures are in
the 40s and it doesn`t take much time for hypothermia to develop if
you get dipped into the water. Wearing a life jacket significantly
increases chances of survival.
