Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A decaying outflow boundary is producing a few
showers over the eastern Gulf. A broad subtropical ridge over
the western Atlantic result in moderate to fresh easterly winds
across the basin. The pressure gradient between the ridge and
lower pressures in Texas and Mexico will support fresh to
occasionally strong winds in the western half of the Gulf Wed
night into the weekend. Winds will pulse to strong speeds
nightly in offshore Yucatan and the south-central Gulf waters.
Moderate or weaker winds will prevail in the eastern half of the
Gulf.
