...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Coleman, Concho and Runnels.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 801 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms from Winters to Ballinger to the O. H. Ivie
    Reservoir to Gouldbusk...Voss and Shields. Movement was
    northeast at 15 mph. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Coleman, Ballinger, Winters, Santa Anna, Paint Rock,
    Maverick, Miles, Talpa, Benoit, Ivie Reservoir Near Concho
    Park Marina, Leaday, Voss, Valera, Crews, Hatchel, Rowena,
    Millersview, Gouldbusk, Lowake and Norton.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    FM 1176 crossing Sweetie Creek, FM 1929 crossing Fuzzy Creek,
    FM 0383 crossing Quarry Creek, FM-RD 136 crossing Hords
    Creek, County Road 406 crossing Home Creek, County Road 300
    crossing Home Creek, CR 348 crossing Coyote Creek, County
    Road 348 crossing Bull Creek, crossings along County Road 302
    and CR 116 crossing Pony Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
