...The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin FL has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Florida...

  Alafia River At Riverview near US 301 affecting Hillsborough
  County.

For the Alafia...including Lithia , Riverview near US 301...Minor
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO LATE THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Alafia River at Riverview near US 301.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to late this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 4.2 feet, Water begins to impact homes on Pine Avenue
  and Park Drive.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 2.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 4.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will quickly rise to flood stage later
    this morning and rise to a crest near 4.7 feet later this
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 4.2 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    4.8 feet on 07/23/2001.
