SEPTEMBER WAS A LITTLE WETTER THAN NORMAL, ENDING A STRING OF FIVE
STRAIGHT MONTHS OF DRIER THAN NORMAL WEATHER. FOR THE MONTH, 1.12
INCHES OF RAIN FELL, WHICH WAS 0.18 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. 1.01 INCHES
OF THAT FELL DURING A THREE-DAY EVENT THAT LASTED FROM THE 14TH
THROUGH 16TH.

GLASGOW IS STILL WELL BELOW NORMAL FOR THE YEAR, HOWEVER, WITH ONLY
4.84 INCHES MEASURED THROUGH THE END OF SEPTEMBER, WHICH IS 5.27
INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 10.11 INCHES. FOR THE WATER YEAR THAT
JUST ENDED, WHICH RUNS FROM OCTOBER 1ST THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30TH, 8.37
INCHES OF MOISTURE WAS RECORDED, WHICH IS 3.29 INCHES BELOW THE
NORMAL OF 11.66 INCHES.

SEPTEMBER WAS ALSO SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL WITH AN AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE OF 58.9 DEGREES, WHICH WAS 0.7 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE
AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 71.4 DEGREES. FOUR DAYS
REACHED 90 DEGREES OR WARMER, WITH A HIGH OF 93 DEGREES OCCURING ON
THE 8TH. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 46.4 DEGREES. FIVE DAYS
DIPPED INTO THE 30S, WITH THE COOLEST BEING ON THE 26TH WHEN THE
TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 36 DEGREES.

THE WIND GUSTED TO 30 MPH OR GREATER ON SEVEN DAYS. THE PEAK WIND
GUST FOR THE MONTH WAS 36 MPH ON THE 4TH.

LOOKING AHEAD TO OCTOBER, NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES TO BEGIN THE
MONTH ARE IN THE MID 60S WITH NORMAL LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. BY THE
END OF THE MONTH, NORMAL HIGHS ARE IN THE UPPER 40S WITH NORMAL LOWS
IN THE MID 20S. THE NORMAL MOISTURE FOR OCTOBER IS 0.75 INCHES, WITH
AN AVERAGE SNOWFALL TOTAL FOR THE MONTH OF 1.3 INCHES.
