...NOVEMBER WAS DRIER AND MUCH WARMER THAN NORMAL IN OMAHA...
...THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER WERE MUCH WARMER
AND SLIGHTLY WETTER THAN NORMAL IN OMAHA...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN NOVEMBER WAS THE 2ND WARMEST ON RECORD IN
OMAHA...AS MUCH OF THE MONTH WAS DOMINATED BY WELL ABOVE-NORMAL
TEMPERATURES.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 0.77 INCHES WAS LESS THAN
HALF OF NORMAL.

THE 1ST THROUGH 17TH WAS DOMINATED BY TEMPERATURES THAT WERE MUCH
WARMER THAN NORMAL...INCLUDING SEVERAL HIGHS IN THE 60S AND
70S...ALONG WITH LITTLE PRECIPITATION.  ONLY 0.02 INCHES OF RAIN
FELL IN THE PERIOD...ON THE 7TH.  THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE
MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 3RD AT 76 DEGREES...WITH THE WARMEST LOW
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH ON THE 1ST AT 50 DEGREES.  ALSO...A DAILY
RECORD WARM TEMPERATURE WAS TIED ON THE 16TH AT 73 DEGREES.  THE
FIRST HARD FREEZE OCCURRED ON THE 12TH AT 28 DEGREES...WHICH IS 16
DAYS LATER THAN THE AVERAGE OF OCTOBER 27 AND THE 10TH LATEST ON
RECORD.

A STRONG COLD FRONT ON THE 18TH BROUGHT WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 53
MPH...FOLLOWED BY THE ONLY DAY IN NOVEMBER WITH A BELOW-AVERAGE
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE ON THE 19TH. THE COLDEST LOW TEMPERATURES OF THE
MONTH OCCURRED ON THE 19TH AND 20TH...AT 23 DEGREES.  TEMPERATURES
REBOUNDED TO READINGS ABOVE TO WELL ABOVE NORMAL FROM THE 21ST
THROUGH THE 30TH...WITH MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION ON THE 22ND AND THE
27TH AND TRACES OF RAIN OR SNOW ON SEVERAL OTHER DAYS.  THE 0.28
INCHES OF RAIN ON THE 27TH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY LIGHTNING...THE ONLY
THUNDERSTORM DAY OF THE MONTH.


THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER-NOVEMBER WERE THE 2ND WARMEST
ON RECORD FOR OMAHA.  THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 59.0 DEGREES WAS
6.4 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION OF 6.85 INCHES
WAS 0.38 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL...REGISTERING IN THE RANGE OF SLIGHTLY
ABOVE NORMAL.  NO SNOW WAS RECORDED THIS FALL...WHICH IS 2.8 INCHES
LESS THAN NORMAL.  THE FIRST FREEZE OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 13TH AT 32
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 3 DAYS EARLIER THAN AVERAGE.  THE FIRST HARD
FREEZE OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 12TH AT 28 DEGREES...WHICH IS 16 DAYS
LATER THAN THE AVERAGE OF OCTOBER 27 AND THE 10TH LATEST ON RECORD.
ONLY 10 DAYS HAD LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING...WHICH IS
THE 2ND FEWEST ON RECORD. THERE WERE 53 DAYS WITH A MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER...WHICH IS THE 2ND MOST ON
RECORD FOR THE FALL MONTHS.
