WEATHERWISE DURING THIS NOVEMBER OF 2017 IN SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER
CITY, LOUISIANA, WE RECORDED WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND WELL
BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL.  THIS NOVEMBER NOW RANKS AS THE NINTH WARMEST
NOVEMBER ON RECORD AND JUST BEHIND THE NOVEMBER OF 2016 THAT RANKS
SEVENTH WARMEST WITH A MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 61.5 DEGREES.

NOVEMBER OF 2017 COMMENCED WITH A QUITE WARM SPELL INCLUDING TWO
DAYS THAT TIED THE MONTHLY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD.  DURING NOVEMBER
3RD AND 6TH, SHREVEPORT TOPPED OUT AT 88 DEGREES AND TIED THE
MONTHLY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET DURING NOVEMBER 1,
1984 AND NOVEMBER 12, 1955.

WE LIST BELOW DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS FROM THE VERY WARM FIRST
WEEK OF NOVEMBER.

FOR NOVEMBER 3RD, THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 88 DEGREES AND BESTED
THE PREVIOUS DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD OF 86 DEGREES SET JUST A
YEAR AGO DURING 2016.  ALSO THE DAILY LOW ONLY FELL TO 72 DEGREES
AND SET A NEW DAILY WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD:  THE PREVIOUS
RECORD SET DURING 1994 AT 69 DEGREES.

FOR NOVEMBER 4TH, THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 86 DEGREES AND TIED
THE PREVIOUS DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD OF 86 DEGREES SET DURING
1948.  THE DAILY LOW ONLY FELL TO 70 DEGREES AND TIED THE DAILY
WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD SET DURING 1994 AT 70 DEGREES.

FOR NOVEMBER 5TH, THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 86 DEGREES AND BESTED
THE PREVIOUS DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD OF 85 DEGREES SET DURING
1891.  ALSO THE DAILY LOW ONLY FELL TO 71 DEGREES AND SET A NEW
DAILY WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD WITH THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 66
DEGREES SET DURING 1942.

FINALLY FOR NOVEMBER 6TH, THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 88 DEGREES
AND BESTED THE PREVIOUS DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD OF 86 DEGREES
SET DURING 1989.  ALSO THE DAILY LOW ONLY FELL TO 71 DEGREES AND SET
A NEW DAILY WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURE RECORD AS THE PREVIOUS RECORD
WAS SET DURING 1989 AT 69 DEGREES AS WELL.

FOR THE CLIMATOLOGICAL AUTUMN OF 2017 FROM SEPTEMBER 1ST THROUGH
NOVEMBER 30TH, SHREVEPORT`S TEMPERATURE AVERAGED 68.8 DEGREES WHILE
THE NORMAL AUTUMN AVERAGE IS 66.6 DEGREES.  SHREVEPORT TALLIED A
PALTRY 2.56 INCHES OF RAINFALL, WELL BELOW THE NORMAL AUTUMN
RAINFALL OF 12.65 INCHES.  THIS AUTUMN NOW RANKS AS THE FOURTH
DRIEST AUTUMN AND THE DRIEST SINCE 1924 THAT RANKS NUMBER ONE AT
1.39 INCHES.
