Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
Weak low pressure will remain over the region tonight, then lift
north-northeast as a cold front approaches. The cold front will
reach the Kauai waters late Tuesday into Tuesday night, then
continue down the island chain through midweek. A reinforcing cold
front is forecast to move across the state next weekend.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-


.TONIGHT AND MONDAY...Winds variable less than 10 knots around
Kauai... southeast 10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Wind waves 3 to 5
feet. Northwest swell 5 to 6 feet. Haze. Isolated showers.
.MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Winds variable less than 10
knots around the Big Island...north 10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Wind
waves 3 to 4 feet. Northwest swell 8 to 9 feet. Haze. Showers
likely and slight chance of thunderstorms...heaviest Tuesday.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...North winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind waves 3 to
5 feet. North swell 8 feet. Showers likely and slight chance of
thunderstorms.
.THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...North winds 10 to 20 knots. Wind waves
3 to 5 feet. North swell 7 to 9 feet. Scattered showers.
