...The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Flood
Advisory for the North Platte River...

  North Platte River at Lewellen affecting Garden and Keith Counties

.Recent heavy rains and Rocky Mountain snow melt have resulted in
elevated North Platte River levels upstream from Lake McConaughy. The
river level will see a slight rise over the next day then remain
steady. At the Lewellen gauge site the river is expected to rise to
then hold nearly steady at 7.5 feet which is the minor flood
stage.

* At 5:00 AM on Sunday May 24 the stage was 7.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise then remain steady near 7.5 feet.
