...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
845 PM EDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL KNOX AND NORTH CENTRAL BLOUNT
COUNTIES...

AT 708 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN HAD FALLEN FROM
EARILER THUNDERSTORMS. THIS HAS CAUSED SOME MURBAN AND SMALL STREAM
FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. BETWEEN ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS
FALLEN OVER THE LAST HOUR...WHICH HAS CAUSED SOME MINOR STREET
FLOODING IN SOUTH KNOXVILLE.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
KNOXVILLE...ALCOA...LOUISVILLE...ROCKFORD AND BEARDEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE.
