...Forecast Flooding Changed from Major to Record Severity for the
following rivers in Missouri...

  St. Francis River near Patterson affecting Wayne County

.Heavy rainfall over the past few days continues to cause rapid rises
on the St. Francis River at Patterson Missouri. A new crest of 36.5 feet
is forecast for this evening. This is above the old record crest of 35.77
feet that was recorded in 1982.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the St. Francis River near Patterson
  * At  6:30 AM Sunday the stage was 34.5 feet.
* Flood Stage is 16.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Record flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 36.5 feet by this
  evening then begin falling.
