Flood Warning
National Weather Service Charleston WV
555 AM EST MON JAN 15 2018

Morgan OH-
555 AM EST MON JAN 15 2018

The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has extended

* Flood Warning for...
  An Ice Jam in...
Central Morgan County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 315 PM EST Monday

* Minor flooding due to ice jams along the Muskingum River is
occurring near Stockport. Minor flooding has been reported along
County Road 2, State Route 376, Hanwood Drive, and Cottonwood
Drive. Ice jam flooding can lead to quick changes in water levels
as jams form and break up. Those in the flood warning area should
closely monitor river conditions, and be prepared to take action
if flood waters encroach. Stay away from river banks due to the
unpredictable nature of ice jam flooding. In addition, do not
drive through flooded roadways. Be especially cautious if
traveling early this morning on roads along the Muskingum River,
as water covered roadways can be difficult to detect.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Areas along the Muskingum River from McConnelsville and Malta,
  downstream to Stockport.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
