FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
319 PM AKDT SAT JUL 4 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A SERIES OF FRONTS WILL MOVE THROUGH ALASKA THROUGH THE BEGINNING
OF NEXT WEEK. WETTING RAINS APPEAR LIKELY ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST
ALASKA TONIGHT AS THE FIRST FRONT WILL BE SLOW MOVING AND BRING
PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL. A BRIEF BREAK IN THE ACTION
WILL BE SEEN ON SUNDAY...ALLOWING FOR TEMPERATURES TO WARM INTO THE
MID 60S TO MID 70S BUT WILL QUICKLY DROP AS PRECIPITATION BEGINS
AGAIN SUNDAY NIGHT. CHANCES FOR WETTING RAIN WILL ONCE AGAIN BE QUITE
FAVORABLE SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. GUSTY WINDS WILL BE OBSERVED ACROSS
PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ALASKA AS THESE FRONTS BECOME FAVORABLY ORIENTED
TO BLOW THROUGH THE MOUNTAIN PASSES ACROSS THE ALASKA AND ALEUTIAN RANGES.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL STAY WELL ABOVE CRITICAL VALUES WITH
ABUNDANT CLOUD COVER AND WIDESPREAD RAINFALL.
