FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
359 PM AKDT MON MAY 30 2016

.DISCUSSION...
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING OVER THE SOUTHWEST MAINLAND WILL
BRING NUMEROUS SHOWERS WITH ISOLATED WET THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH LATE THIS
EVENING WHEN THEY WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH FROM EAST TO WEST. ON TUESDAY A
WEAKER UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND WET
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA THAT WILL BE LESS WIDESPREAD THAN TODAY...BUT
SHOULD STILL BE EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON/EVENING HOURS. MOST OF THESE
SHOWERS SHOULD OCCUR OVER BRISTOL BAY AND THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA...WHILE THE
KUSKOKWIM VALLEY WILL SEE MORE BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS AND DRIER CONDITIONS.
AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THEN LOOK TO CONTINUE INTO
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER THE KUSKOKWIM VALLEY.
