Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
456 AM MDT Tue Mar 28 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...The next in a series of Pacific
storm systems will move slowly across the region today and
tonight. Expect it to bring snow...heavy at times to the Front
Range mountains and foothills, and light to moderate rainfall to
the high plains. A mix of rain and snow can be expected between
5200 to 6200 feet tonight. Temperatures will be below average
under a heavy blanket of low clouds. Relative humidities will
also remain high with the anticipated widespread precipitation.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...A storm system
will exit the area on Wednesday with rain and snow diminishing
during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be cooler with
higher humidity levels. Much of the snow will remain above 6000
feet. Dry and warmer on Thursday then the next storm system will
move over the region in the Friday and Saturday time frame with
mainly rain on the plains, snow in the mountains, and a mix of
rain and snow in the foothills.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
