FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
223 PM EST SAT DEC 10 2016

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE ALONG WITH CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS WILL REMAIN
OVER THE REGION TONIGHT AND BEGIN TO SHIFT NORTHEAST OF THE AREA
SUNDAY AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE NORTHWEST. AS SOUTHWEST
FLOW DEVELOPS MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO WILL RETURN TO THE
AREA SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH CHANCES OF SHOWERS SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AS THE COLD FRONT STALLS OVER THE REGION. MIXING HEIGHTS
WILL REMAIN RELATIVELY LOW DUE TO WARM MOIST AIR OVERRIDING THE
COLDER AIRMASS AT THE SURFACE. FOG IS NOT EXPECTED TONIGHT IN OUR
DRY AIR MASS...BUT CHANCES OF PATCHY FOG WILL INCREASE WITH HIGHER
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND AREAS OF RAIN BEGINNING SUNDAY EVENING INTO
MONDAY MORNING.
