Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
312 AM EDT Sat Oct 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...High pressure both aloft and at the surface will continue
through Sunday. This will keep the area in a dry weather pattern.
Minimum RH values will be around 30 percent this afternoon, then rising
to 50 to 60 percent on Sunday as an east to southeasterly onshore
low-level flow develops. Surface winds will be light and variable through
the period, but direction will generally be northeast to east today, and
east to southeast. Above normal high temperatures in the 80s expected
both days. Patchy fog possible each morning near bodies of water, with
any fog dissipating rapidly with sunrise. Rainfall chances increase
Monday with an approaching frontal system.
