Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
217 PM CST Sun Feb 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Unseasonably mild weather will continue this week. Daily minimum
RH values will remain above 40 percent on Monday, and over 60
percent on Tuesday due to clouds and potential rainfall. A weakening
upper level disturbance will bring a low chance of light showers.
Rain amounts will only reach around a tenth of an inch at most.
Smoke dispersion values will remain only fair the next couple of
days due to departing upper level high pressure ridge and only weak
southerly flow developing.

There will be another chance of showers and thunderstorms late
Thursday into Friday as a stronger cold front arrives from the west.
Rainfall amounts will vary with this system due to scattered coverage.
A few spots could receive locally moderate rain, while others
remain dry.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy dense fog is expected
tonight, especially after midnight. The fog will dissipate rapidly
after sunrise.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Red Flag conditions are not
expected during the next seven days.
