FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL OF THE WEATHER PATTERN FOR
THE TENNESSEE VALLEY THROUGH THE PERIOD, AND WILL SHIFT EASTWARD BY
TUESDAY. BY THIS TIME, A REINFORCING COLD FRONT WILL PUSH ACROSS
THE AREA, WITH AN INCREASE IN CLOUD COVER EXPECTED, BUT NO RAIN.

DRY AND SEASONABLE CONDITIONS WILL LINGER INTO THE LATTER HALF OF
THE WEEK AS A RESULT, WITH ANOTHER DOME OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING
INTO THE AREA FROM THE WEST.

TRANSPORT WINDS WILL SHIFT FROM THE WEST TO THE NORTH BY TUESDAY,
WITH GENERALLY LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS EXPECTED AT THE SURFACE.
SMOKE DISPERSION WILL IMPROVE THROUGH THE PERIOD AS WELL, WITH
MIXING HEIGHTS BETWEEN 3000 AND 4000 FEET.
