FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOS ANGELES/OXNARD CA
333 PM PDT THU APR 28 2016

...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS THROUGH TONIGHT...

.DISCUSSION...GUSTY WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS
THE AREA TODAY BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING OVERNIGHT.

WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AND WILL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY SOME DRYING, ESPECIALLY IN THE MOUNTAINS AND
DESERTS WHERE MIN RH VALUES OF 15 TO 30 PERCENT ARE EXPECTED.
HOWEVER, A STRONG EDDY CIRCULATION IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP
OVER THE COASTAL WATERS SOUTH OF PT CONCEPTION OVERNIGHT TONIGHT
INTO FRIDAY AND SPIN UP A DEEP MARINE LAYER FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
THIS WILL KEEP HUMIDITIES AT LOWER ELEVATIONS AT OR ABOVE 50 PERCENT
IN MOST AREAS.

ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO DROP THROUGH INTERIOR
CALIFORNIA LATE IN THE WEEKEND. THERE IS THE SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS AND ANTELOPE VALLEY. WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WILL
RETURN EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH LOWERING HUMIDITIES BUT GENERALLY
LIGHT WINDS.
