FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
311 PM CST SUN FEB 14 2016

.DISCUSSION...
LIGHT WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY AND KEEP
FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS LOW DESPITE THE PREVAILING DRY CONDITIONS.
ANOTHER COLD FRONT MOVING THROUGH ON TUESDAY MORNING WILL BRING A
NORTHERLY WIND SHIFT BUT OTHERWISE WON/T HAVE MUCH IMPACT ON TEMPS
OR MOISTURE. A PRONOUNCED WARNING TREND STARTS WEDNESDAY AND IS
LIKELY TO CONTRIBUTE TO A HIGHER FIRE DANGER ON THURSDAY WHEN
COMBINED WITH STRENGTHENING SOUTHWESTERLY BREEZES. CURRENT
INDICATIONS SUGGEST THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE CAPROCK THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
