FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
337 AM EDT SUN SEP 21 2014

...DRY CONDITIONS BECOME ESTABLISHED THIS AFTERNOON AND SHOULD
CONTINUE THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND...

.DISCUSSION...RAIN SHOWERS WILL COME TO AN END THIS MORNING OVER
SOUTH CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN...OTHERWISE THE REST OF THE AREA WILL
SEE GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS BEHIND A COLD FRONT THAT MOVED THROUGH
OVERNIGHT. THAT COLD FRONT WILL LEAD TO MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES
TODAY...WITH HIGHS IN THE 50S. A HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL MOVE OVER
UPPER MICHIGAN TONIGHT AND REMAIN THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND. THIS WILL
LEAD TO DRY CONDITIONS AND ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES. THE ONLY CHANCE
FOR RAIN WILL COME WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER WESTERN UPPER
MICHIGAN...BUT THE LATEST MODEL TRENDS ARE INDICATING THAT MOST OF
THE PRECIPITATION WILL STAY WEST OF THE U.P.
