FORTUNA DISPATCH-
DISCUSSION FOR FORTUNA DISPATCH
349 AM PDT TUE OCT 17 2017

DRY WEATHER WITH LOW RH`S WILL PERSIST THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS HIGH
PRESSURE ALOFT DOMINATES THE FORECAST. DURING THIS TIME FRAME
WINDS ARE FORECAST TO REMAIN RELATIVELY LIGHT. SOUTHERLY WINDS
WILL DEVELOP ON THURSDAY IN ADVANCE OF A COLD FRONT. MODELS HAVE
BEEN BOUNCING AROUND AS TO WHEN THE RAIN WILL ARRIVE. CURRENT
ANALYSIS SHOWS RAIN ARRIVING TO NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA BY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING WITH SHOWERS AND COOLER TEMPERATURES
PERSISTING ON FRIDAY. THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL CHANCES FOR RAIN
OVER THE WEEKEND; HOWEVER, CONFIDENCE IS NOT HIGH THAT THERE WILL
BRING WIDESPREAD RAIN. AREAS NORTH OF HWY 299 AND INTO DEL NORTE
COUNTY WILL HAVE THE BEST CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION. HIGH PRESSURE
WILL START TO BUILD OVER THE REGION FOR THE LATTER PORTION OF THE
WEEKEND AND OFFSHORE WIND FLOW MAY ONCE AGAIN BECOME A CONCERN AS
WE HEAD INTO THE EARLY PORTION OF NEXT WEEK.
