ECCDA DISCUSSIONS FOR YREKA AND MODOC CALIFORNIA DISPATCH AREAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEDFORD OR
317 AM PST Wed Dec 13 2017

ECC002-140530-
WEST YREKA-
DISCUSSION FOR WESTERN KLAMATH
317 AM PST Wed Dec 13 2017

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST WITH STRONG INVERSION
CONDITIONS TODAY. IT WILL REMAIN VERY DRY ABOVE THE INVERSION
WITH WARM TEMPERATURES IN THE AFTERNOON. GUSTY EAST WINDS ARE
EXPECTED ON THE RIDGETOPS TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING. A MOSTLY
DRY COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ONSHORE FRIDAY AND COULD BRING A SHORT
REPRIEVE FROM THE STAGNANT CONDITIONS. HOWEVER, ANOTHER ROUND OF
HIGH PRESSURE WITH STRENGTHENING INVERSIONS IS LIKELY BY SATURDAY.
MODELS INDICATE A CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION BY MID TO LATE NEXT
WEEK, BUT CONFIDENCE IS LOW FOR THIS PART OF THE FORECAST.
