NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORTLAND OR
454 PM PDT THU MAY 28 2015

FORECAST IS BASED ON IGNITION TIME OF 1050 PDT ON MAY 28.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE.

.DISCUSSION...WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY
AS AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE LINGERS OVER THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST. LOW PRESSURE WELL OFFSHORE MAY SPREAD A LITTLE MORE
HIGH CLOUDINESS ACROSS WESTERN OREGON FRIDAY. WINDS FRIDAY SHOULD
BE VERY SIMILAR TO TODAY...THOUGH INCREASED CLOUD COVER MAY WEAKEN
THE TERRAIN INFLUENCE AND ALLOW NORTHWEST WINDS TO BE MORE
DOMINANT. A WEAK THERMAL TROUGH WILL LINGER OVER WESTERN OREGON
THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...ENHANCING LOW- LEVEL INSTABILITY MAINLY
DURING THE DAYTIME HOURS. EXPECT A BIT MORE IN THE WAY OF CUMULUS
BUILDUPS NEAR THE BURN AREA FRIDAY AFTERNOON...AND A LATE
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORM CANNOT BE RULED OUT. SIMILAR WEATHER IS
EXPECTED SATURDAY BEFORE A TRANSITION TO COOLER AND MORE SHOWERY
WEATHER DEVELOPS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY.

** NOTE THAT WINDS WILL BE GUSTY AND ERRATIC IF ANY THUNDERSTORMS
 DEVELOP NEARBY. **
