...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ACROSS THE ATLANTIC WATERS...

AT 425 PM AST...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS THE ATLANTIC WATERS. THESE STORMS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE
LEADING EDGE OF A STRONG TROPICAL WAVE TO THE EAST OF THE LEEWARD
ISLANDS. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING WEST SOUTHWEST AT AROUND 15
KNOTS. STRONG GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL...AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES CAN BE EXPECTED
WITH THIS STORM.

MARINERS CAN ALSO EXPECT LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES NEAR THE THUNDERSTORMS.
WATERSPOUTS MAY ALSO BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS AS THEY
QUICKLY STREAM WEST SOUTHWEST. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN WATER
STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL
OBJECTS.

STAY TUNED FOR ANY ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS OR POSSIBLE WATCHES OR
