...Gusty winds across the lower valley today...

.Gusty south winds have developed across the lower valley this
morning, and are forecast to continue through midafternoon.
Sustained winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts near 40
miles per hour will be common from Brownsville to Raymondville.
Winds are forecast to decrease by midafternoon.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 2 PM CDT this afternoon.

* TIMING...Now through midafternoon

* WINDS...South winds 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts of 40
  miles per hour.

* IMPACTS...Move light and moderate weight items, such as patio
  furniture, empty trash cans, and portable basketball posts, indoors.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 to 39 MPH are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
