A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO
9 PM MDT THIS EVENING. A LAKE WIND ADVISORY FOR FORT PECK LAKE
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MDT THIS MORNING.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE MORNING WITH STRONGEST
  WINDS ACROSS THE REGION EXPECTED FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH EARLY
  AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...30 TO 45 MPH GUSTING TO 60 MPH AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...UNSECURED ITEMS AND PROPERTY COULD BE BLOWN
  ABOUT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH
  CROSSWINDS. FORT PECK LAKE WILL BECOME EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS AND
  WAVES COULD EASILY SWAMP/TIP SMALL TO MODERATE SIZE CRAFT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.

BOATERS SHOULD USE CAUTION IF VENTURING ONTO FORT PECK LAKE
DURING ADVISORY TIME AND AVOID THE OPEN WATERS BY STAYING CLOSE
TO SHORE OR IN PROTECTED AREAS. AS THE HIGH WIND WARNING PERIOD
APPROACHES...IT MAY BE BEST TO EXIT THE LAKE COMPLETELY.

TAKE ACTION TO SECURE TRASH CANS...LAWN FURNITURE...AND OTHER
LOOSE OR LIGHTWEIGHT OUTDOOR OBJECTS. HIGH WINDS CAN TOPPLE
