Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Tropical N Atlantic
from 07N to 22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of
31N W of 65W including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Caribbean Sea and Tropical N ATLC from 07N to 19N
between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...Strong E to SE trades S of 15N between 64W and 70W
will expand westward to the southern portion of the central
Caribbean through late Wednesday morning, then diminish on
Thursday. Expect fresh to locally strong winds across the Gulf
of Honduras mainly during the evening and night hours through
early Thursday.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE SW N ATLC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria is centered near 31.2N 72.9W moving
N at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds have diminished to 70 kt with
gusts to 85 kt. Estimated minimum central pressure is 963 mb.
Maria is forecast to maintain intensity as it reaches near 31.8N
73.0W by this evening, and continue to lift to N of the area
tonight. Maria is forecast to reach near 32.9N 73.1W by early
Tuesday morning as a minimal hurricane with maximum sustained
winds of 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt. A trough will extend SW from
the N-central waters to the Central Bahamas in the wake of Maria
through Wednesday night, and become diffuse on Thursday as high
pressure builds westward across the eastern portion of the area.
A weak cold front is expected to approach the SE United States on
Friday.
