...System upgrade for South Point NEXRAD...

The South Point NEXRAD or commonly known as the Naalehu NEXRAD
with the call sign PHWA/HWC, will be down for about 10 days
for a system upgrade starting Wednesday, May 17 and lasting to
Saturday, May 27. The system will be turned off by 9 am HST
Wednesday, and returned to service by 5 pm HST Saturday afternoon.
If all goes according to plan and the weather cooperates, the
radar will likely be up and running by this Saturday, May 20, but
there will be a testing period lasting to the 27th.

Technicians will be swapping out pieces of hardware, doing routine
maintenance, and the loading of a new software.
