SUBJECT: CHANGE IN FLOOD CATEGORIES ON THE WEST NISHNABOTNA RIVER
         NEAR RIVERTON

ON THE WEST NISHNABOTNA RIVER NEAR RIVERTON...ACTION STAGE IS BEING
LOWERED TO 20 FEET AND MINOR FLOOD STAGE IS BEING LOWERED TO 21.5
FEET. NO CHANGE IS BEING MADE TO MODERATE OR MAJOR STAGE AT THIS
TIME.

ON JULY 1ST, THE WEST NISHNABOTNA RIVER NEAR RIVERTON REACHED A PEAK
STAGE OF 22.5 FEET. COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OBSERVED THAT AT A
STAGE OF 21.5 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO IMPACT COUNTY ROAD J-46.

THIS CHANGE TO MINOR FLOOD STAGE WILL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.
