...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR SOUTH COASTAL
PUERTO RICO THIS AFTERNOON...

LOW HUMIDITY NEAR CRITICAL LEVELS ALONG WITH WINDS WILL RESULT IN
ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY. 20-FOOT WINDS FROM THE EAST SOUTHEAST
OF 15 MPH AND GUSTS APPROACHING 25 MPH WILL ACCOMPANY HUMIDITY
RANGING FROM MID 40S AT CAMP SANTIAGO TO UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S AT
GUANICA AND CABO ROJO.

 FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND SPREAD
OF WILDFIRES.

FIRE DANGER STATEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
