MOUNTAINS...ANTELOPE VALLEY...AND SANTA CLARITA VALLEY...

...RED FLAG WARNING HAS EXPIRED FOR THE SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS OF THE SOUTH COAST...

...RED FLAG WARNING EXTENDED UNTIL 10 PM PDT SUNDAY FOR THE
MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY FOR GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS...LOW
HUMIDITY...AND HOT TEMPERATURES...

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES OVER THE
REGION ALTHOUGH IT WILL WEAKEN SOME TODAY.

INTERIOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE
ELEVATED FIRE DANGER TODAY DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY ONSHORE
WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES. OF PARTICULAR CONCERN WILL BE THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS WHERE ANOTHER PERIOD OF CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR...WITH SOUTHWEST WINDS
GUSTING TO 35 MPH AND HUMIDITIES MINIMUMS BETWEEN 8 AND 15

WIDESPREAD CRITICAL VALUES ARE NOT FORECAST. FIRE DANGER WILL
REMAIN HIGHER THAN NORMAL.

EVENING FOR GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS...VERY LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY...AND HOT TEMPERATURES FOR THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
MOUNTAINS...

* WINDS...SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS 8 TO 15 MPH WITH LOCAL GUSTS TO
  25 MPH WILL PERSIST INTO THE MORNING. SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS
  WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH THIS AFTERNOON
  AND EVENING.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...HUMIDITIES WILL HAVE POOR OVERNIGHT
  RECOVERIES. MINIMUM DAYTIME HUMIDITIES OF 8 TO 15 PERCENT WILL
  OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON.

* TEMPERATURES...MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL BE
  BETWEEN 90 AND 100 DEGREES ACROSS THE LOWER MOUNTAIN ELEVATIONS
  AND FOOTHILLS.

* IMPACTS...IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS THERE COULD BE RAPID SPREAD
  OF WILDFIRE THAT WOULD LEAD TO A THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS IN COMBINATION WITH VERY DRY
FUELS WILL CREATE EXTREME FIRE DANGER AND/OR FIRE BEHAVIOR.

PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE
FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
