THE PROXIMITY OF A COLD FRONT WHICH HAS BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY
EARLY THIS MORNING...TOGETHER WITH ENOUGH LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AND
SOME UPPER-LEVEL ENERGY...IS RESULTING IN PERSISTENT SHOWER
ACTIVITY. THIS TREND WILL SHIFT TOWARD THE SOUTH AND EASTERN
PORTIONS OF THE MIDLANDS AND CSRA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING...UNTIL HIGH PRESSURE FROM THE NORTHWEST FINALLY PUSHES
COOLER AND DRIER AIR IN.

AVERAGE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW ONE-HALF INCH...
WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH TO SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT AREA RIVER STAGES.
MINOR FLUCTUATIONS WILL THEREFORE CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
