DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
930 AM EST SUN DEC 4 2016

...All River Forecast Points were below Flood Stage this Morning...

Periods of widespread rainfall are expected to develop throughout the
forecast area through Wednesday as moist, warm southwest flow from
a low pressure system is lifted up over a frontal boundary to our
south...and also over a wedge of cooler air from high pressure to the
north. 72-hour rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible, with
highest amounts in the Piedmont, Upstate and Pee Dee...affecting stages
in the Upper Savannah, Saluda and Wateree Basins the most. Expect rises
in area rivers, but all are expected to stay well below flood stage
especially with lower reservoir levels and extended drought conditions
that have been occurring.
