MISSISSIPPI RIVER

NO ICE HAS BEEN REPORTED YET ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

WATER TEMPERATURES TODAY WERE 39 TO 42 DEGREES FROM LOCK AND DAM 1
THROUGH LD18, EXCEPT FOR 34 DEGREES AT LD5 AND LD5A. WATER TEMPERATURES
WERE 43 TO 51 DEGREES FROM LD19 THROUGH LD27.

ILLINOIS RIVER SYSTEM (CHICAGO/ILLINOIS R)

NO ICE HAS BEEN REPORTED YET ON THE ILLINOIS RIVER OR ITS TRIBUTARIES.

WATER TEMPERATURES TODAY RANGED FROM THE MID 40S TO THE MID 50S.

OUTLOOK FOR NEXT 7 DAYS:
AIR TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO BE ABOVE NORMAL THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
A COOLING TREND NEXT WEEK SHOULD BRING TEMPERATURES CLOSER TO NORMAL
FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

IN GENERAL, HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 30S AND 40S WITH LOWS IN
THE 20S AND 30S.

IN OUR REGION...LOW TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING WERE 33 DEGREES AT
ST CLOUD, 35 DEGREES IN THE TWIN CITIES, 40 DEGREES AT LD15, 39
DEGREES AT PEORIA, AND 45 DEGREES AT ST LOUIS.

BASES ON THESE FACTORS...NO ICE FORMATION IS EXPECTED ON THE MISSISSIPPI
OR ILLINOIS RIVERS THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.

THE NEXT RIVER ICE STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2016.
