HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT

...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a hydrologic
statement for the following rivers...


  Mississippi River  affecting Grafton


.This hydrologic statement is based on excessive rainfall that fell
upstream the second half of last week.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Mississippi River at Grafton
* from Friday morning until further notice.
* At 11AM Tuesday the stage was 16.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Friday morning
  and continue rising to near 19.9 feet by early Wednesday morning.
  Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* At 18.0 feet... Flood Stage.  Right bank begins to overflow...
flooding farmland.
