Water levels can be expected to remain nearly steady on the L`anguille
River...Saint Francis River... fall on the St Francis River Diversion Ditch.


At 10 AM Thursday, the stage on the Saint Francis River at Lake City
was 9.4 feet and steady. Flood stage is 10.0 feet.At 10.0 feet,
Flooding is occurring in the swamps along the river..

At 10 AM Thursday, the stage on the St Francis River Diversion Ditch
at Madison was 29.4 feet and falling. Flood stage is 32.0 feet. It is
expected to fall below action stage by Friday morning.

At 10 AM Thursday, the stage on the L`anguille River at Palestine was
23.4 feet and steady. Flood stage is 25.0 feet.At 22.0 feet, Crop
land near the river is affected by flood water..

The next River Statement will be issued tomorrow or sooner if conditions
warrant.
