...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN RUSK...NORTHWESTERN
NACOGDOCHES AND SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM CST...

At 608 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Douglass, or 13 miles southeast of Rusk, moving northeast at 50 mph.
Another strong thunderstorm was located about 8 miles west of Wells,
also moving northeast at 50 mph.

Strong winds of 40 to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Alto, Wells, Morrill, Sacul, Forest, Douglass, Minden, Trawick,
Cushing, Mount Enterprise, Glenfawn, Lilbert, Linwood, Looneyville
and Laneville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
