OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER/BOULDER CO
650 PM MST TUE MAR 3 2015

A MOIST AND UNSTABLE SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE
PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL IN MUCH OF THE COLORADO HIGH
COUNTRY THROUGH MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. A SHIFT TO A DRIER AND LESS
UNSTABLE NORTHWEST FLOW LATE TONIGHT WITH THE PASSAGE OF A LOW
PRESSURE TROUGH WILL CAUSE A STEADY REDUCTION IN SNOWFALL FOR THE
NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND HIGH VALLEYS AND THE NORTHEAST PLAINS OF
COLORADO. ON WEDNESDAY...A SWIFT NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL SPREAD
DRIER AND SOMEWHAT COLDER AIR DOWN FROM WYOMING THROUGH THE DAY.
HOWEVER PARTS OF THE FRONT RANGE MOUNTAINS AND NEARBY PLAINS MAY
STILL SEE SOME LIGHT SNOW THROUGH MID-MORNING...BUT NO NEW
ACCUMULATION. THURSDAY THROUGH NEXT TUESDAY...LOOK FOR DRY AND
WARMER CONDITIONS TO SPREAD OVER THE REGION AS A STRONG HIGH
PRESSURE RIDGE SLOWLY BUILDS IN FROM THE WEST.
