AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS JUST OFF THE COAST OF
CALIFORNIA...WITH AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE
SOUTHEASTERN US. COLORADO WILL REMAIN BETWEEN THESE TWO SYSTEMS
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A MOIST WEST TO SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT OVER THE
NEXT FEW DAYS. THIS MOISTURE COMBINED WITH DAYTIME HEATING AND AN
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL PRODUCE NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. A LITTLE
DRIER AIR IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN
COLORADO ON THURSDAY. HOWEVER...SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE
END OF THE WORK WEEK. WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO RETURN
OVER THE WEEKEND...AS THE UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER
THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN ROCKIES.
