LOCALLY HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW POSSIBLE STARTING LATE WEDNESDAY
NIGHT ACROSS THE SOUTH SHORE...

.A LOT OF SNOW COULD FALL DUE TO THE CONTRIBUTION FROM LAKE
SUPERIOR. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY. THE SNOW WILL COME DOWN HARD AT TIMES...
ESPECIALLY IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE BAYFIELD PENINSULA AND
ALONG THE GOGEBIC RANGE OF IRON COUNTY. MORE THAN 6 INCHES OF
SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN THOSE AREAS...BUT A FOOT OR MORE WILL BE
POSSIBLE ALONG PORTIONS OF THE GOGEBIC RANGE.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
  AND CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...8 TO 12 INCHES.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...THE HEAVY SNOW WILL MAKE MANY ROADS IMPASSABLE AND
  MAY PRODUCE WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE
  SNOW ON TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES.
