...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect until
11 AM MST Friday. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in
effect.

* IMPACTS...Roads becoming snow covered and slick, creating
  hazardous driving conditions. Reduced visibility from blowing
  and falling snow.

* TIMING...Snow increasing through the evening, becoming heavy at
  times overnight. Snow continues through Friday morning.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 to 6 inches in valleys and at least 12
  inches above 6000 feet elevation through Noon Thursday.
  Additional accumulations of 1 to 4 inches through Noon Friday.

* CONFIDENCE...Timing, medium to high. Amounts, medium. Location
  of heaviest snow, low to medium.

* LOCATIONS...Burley, Oakley, Malta, Rockland, Connor Summit,
  Holbrook Summit, Malad Pass. Interstate 84 from the Interstate
  86 split to the Utah border, including Sweetzer Summit.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible.
This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

Friday.

* IMPACTS...Roads becoming snow covered and slick, creating
  hazardous driving conditions, especially for Thursday morning
  commutes to work and school.

* TIMING...Snow beginning this evening, possibly beginning as
  rain. Snow heavy at times this evening and overnight, especially
  along Interstate 86.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 to 3 inches by Noon Thursday. Additional
  snowfall 2 to 4 inches by Noon Friday.

* CONFIDENCE...Timing, medium to high. Amounts, low to medium.

* LOCATIONS...Pocatello, American Falls, Fort Hall, Blackfoot.

  hazardous driving conditions, especially for Thursday morning
  commutes to work and school.

* TIMING...Precipitation begins this evening, possibly beginning
  as rain. Snow changes to all snow by midnight, and may become
  heavy at times overnight, especially along the Interstate
  corridor.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 to 4 inches from Shoshone south to
  Interstate 84, and 1 to 3 inches from Shoshone north to Carey
  through Noon Thursday. Additional 1 to 3 inches through Noon
  Friday.

* CONFIDENCE...Timing, medium to high. Amounts, low to medium.

* LOCATIONS...Burley, Minidoka, Shoshone, Carey.

  inches above 6500 ft through Noon Friday.

  of heaviest snow, low to medium.

* LOCATIONS...Lava Hot Springs, Soda Springs, Preston, Montpelier.
  Emigration Pass, Fish Creek Summit, Georgetown Summit, Geneva
