.DISCUSSION...

Winds will gradually switch to the south-southwest from west to east
across the area today with humidity values falling between 20 and 25
percent for many locations. A surface trough passage will turn winds
to the west-northwest again on Monday, with humidity values dropping
to around 20 or 25 percent across central South Dakota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low to moderate category.
