...Preliminary Storm Survey Scheduled for Southern Chilton County
Alabama...

The National Weather Service office in Birmingham AL will conduct
a storm survey today across southern Chilton County. The survey
is in relation to the reported damage from severe thunderstorms
that moved through the area on the evening of April 2 2024.
Additional surveys may be needed in extreme northern Dallas County
as time and resources allow.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by this afternoon.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/bmx
