This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central
Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Rainfall today will lead to sharp river rises but rivers are expected
to remain within bankfull. Gusty southeast winds up to 45 mph will
develop this evening and continue into Friday morning. This could
lead to isolated power outages, especially across the western slopes
of the Green and Adirondack Mountains.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Additional rounds of rain are expected through much of the upcoming
week. Snow melt combined with falling rain will keep area rivers
running high but are forecast to remain within bankfull at this time.
Should rainfall amounts increase, the likelihood of localized river
flooding will go up. A few thunderstorms will be possible on Friday
which will create a marginal flash flood threat.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
