Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
432 AM EDT Wed Apr 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Low pressure moving into the Great Lakes region today will
result in strong southerly winds developing by mid morning
around 10 mph with some gusts to 20 mph through the
afternoon. Moisture will increase ahead of an approaching
front and scattered showers will be possible this evening
mainly across the western and central Midlands and CSRA.
Winds shift more southwesterly on Thursday with higher
chances of rain for Friday as a slow moving front moves
into the region. Min RH values today and tomorrow are
expected to be in the 27-35 percent range.

Fog potential: Predawn fog possible in low lying areas and
near bodies of water.
